Smiling, Twan enthusiastically starts talking about his role as Supply Chain Engineer at Lovink Enertech. A position that fits him like a glove and in which he is still growing every day.Twan studied Logistics Management at HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem and started at Lovink Enertech in early 2022. A Dutch production company and a special product made the position interesting for him. “At a production company, all logistical facets are covered: purchasing, production, storage and transport,” says Twan.

What makes your heart beat faster? Twan doesn’t have to think long about this: forecasting! The literal meaning is to predict future developments. In Twan’s position, this comes down to making a reliable estimate of future customer demand and translating this into the right stock levels. The process of forecasting plays an important role. Twan explains: “When the processes are properly set up, you can make better predictions and optimize inventory management. This generates money and the customer can count on high delivery reliability.”

Lovink’s strong side can be summed up in one word: quality. Twan is impressed by the organization’s great focus on quality and delivery reliability: “You notice among the employees that they really feel bad when something goes wrong, that’s so nice to see”. Twan also enjoys working among a mix of experienced know-it-alls and young professionals. “The atmosphere here is close, it’s about building relationships and gaining trust, then you can achieve great things here,” says Twan.

Finally, Twan has already achieved a lot in terms of personal development. He is given the freedom to schedule regular course days to optimally master the ERP system. In addition, he has started a program in the field of personal leadership and is part of a learning network of the Achterhoek platform Smarthub.
